Week 13 Progress
During the final week of this course, the team focuses on finishing and polishing the entire game so that it is fully functional and working. The team also focus on the final report document to make sure everything is included in the final report. In addition, some tasks were still shared among the team members. Some of the teammates were in charge of the audio sounds for the entire game. This includes sound effects for combat system and the background music and ambient sound. In addition, two teammates were also assigned to the video trailer and editing process. Last but not least, the artist's main task this week was to finish the final drawing of the comics for the narrative story to be put in the game.
My task this week is to fix all the bugs and glitches remaining in the game. The bugs include things like narrative dialogue not popping up in time or ending too fast, some of the glitches in the enemies and environment. In addition, I also added and coded the intro screen as well as the ending scene where the player can read through the comic slides. The introduction screen menu has two buttons that allow the players to either play the game or quit.
I fixed most of the bugs I could find this week. However, there is still a major problem with the optimization of the overall game. The game lags in Level 2 and Level 3 on computers that do not have a higher end graphics card.
