Week 10 Progress
During week 10, the team took a little break as opposed to last week. However, there are still some tasks assigned to team members to complete this week. One of the task this week is the new animation for the ultimate system for the main character because the team felt that the animation for ultimate in the second playtest does not make the ultimate feel powerful and it does not feel that the animation fit into the overall theme of the game. Therefore, the modeler began to model a machine gun for the character and the animator began to animate the character when performing the ultimate. As for our level and environment designers, they have begun to work on other levels of the game.
My task this week was to program the barrier to divide the map into sections where the player can only proceed to the next section after the current section is clear. In addition, the barrier will be 'taken down' or destroyed after the player steps on a 'pressure plate'. Furthermore, my tasks this week was to fix some glitches that were discovered during the second playtest. However, due to my schedule being quite busy this week, I was not able to solve all the glitches and bugs that were discovered.
As stated above, the major problems that need to be fixed this week were the bugs that were discovered from the previous weeks. In addition, I will continue to work on the programming part and debugging for the game.
